How do we keep Bank Branch data updated?

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) generally refreshes IFSC code lists on its official site every fortnight or month. We use these releases to keep our all-India bank-branch directory up to date. At present, the latest RBI update is available on the NEFT page. Do note that RBI’s cadence can vary—there may be longer gaps between updates, and a short delay between the ‘publish date’ displayed and when the downloadable file actually appears.

How we process the Branch data from RBI Excel files?

RBI typically provides branch data as an Excel download. We retrieve each release, standardize and validate the formats, reconcile entries with our existing records, and import them using in-house tools built for accuracy and speed. While we strive for precision, this site is for reference only—always confirm details with your bank. Note: once a branch is added, we DO NOT delete it.

Branch update history and what we track

We’ve been updating bank branch data since 2011. Starting June 2021, we also track newly added branches with each RBI release. For every update, we compare RBI’s Excel list with our database, identify additions, and record the “Existing” vs “Latest” counts so you can see exactly what changed over time.
